In this Portal, we offer a collection of API products that will help you to effectively integrate your applications with our account information, payment initiation and card services.

API Requirements

We provide different API products that have been created to comply with the API requirements as they apply to different geographical regions:

PSD2

Within the European Union, our services can be accessed via APIs that are compliant with PSD2 requirements.

UK Open Banking

In the UK, our services can be accessed via APIs that are compliant with the UK Open Banking requirements.

Consumer Data Standards

In Australia, our services can be accessed via an API that follows the Consumer Data Standards specifications.

Selecting the API product that is created for a particular region ensures compliant access. And, to make sure: we take care of all payment user consent management for you.

Open banking under PSD2

No Registration Required

As a registered TPP, you are entitled to interact with all banks in the EU. Our API is created in accordance with PSD2 standards and helps you to:

  • Securely retrieve consented information about our customer's bank accounts;
  • Offer payment services directly from your applications;
  • Verify the availability of funds to allow for card-based transactions.

In this Portal, this API is published as an example to review and test from a functional perspective. No security profile has been applied. No registration is required to access this API. Payments in the UK

Assuming you are a Payment Initiation Service Provider (PISP) registered in the UK, you could use this API to integrate payment initiation services into your applications. You can:

  • Register an intent to stage a payment-order consent.
  • Optionally, confirm available funds for a payment-order.
  • Subsequently submit the payment-order for processing.
  • Review status and other details for payment orders.

In this Portal, this API is published as an example that implements the full security profile as specified by the UK Open Banking standard. Please register to create an account for this Portal, or login if you have registered already.

Account Info in the UK

Assuming you are an Account Information Provider (AISP) registered in the UK, you could use this API to retrieve information on accounts of our UK banking customers. You can:

  • Register an intent to retrieve account information by creating an "account access consent". This registers the consented data permissions.
  • Subsequently, retrieve account and transaction data.

In this Portal, this API is published as an example that implements the full security profile as specified by the UK Open Banking standard. Please register to create an account for this Portal, or login if you have registered already.

Australia Open Banking

In Australia, open banking is facilitated by APIs that are specified as part of the Consumer Data Standard under the Australian Consumer Data Right legislation. It allows registered third parties to:

  • Retrieve information on accounts;
  • Retrieve information on account details and balances for multiple, filtered accounts;
  • Review scheduled payments for a specific account;
  • Obtain direct debit authorisations for a specific account;
  • Obtain a list of pre-registered payees;
  • Retrieve a list of products that are currently openly offered to the market;
